Motivational Monday's

This weeks motivation comes from a book I'm reading, Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur.

The quote reads,

"I do not want to have you

to fill the empty parts of me

i want to be full on my own

i want to be so complete

i could light a whole city

and then

i want to have you

cause the two of us combined

could set it on fire"

This quote spoke so much light into me. It's something that every person needs to constantly remind their self. You need to have that self love and take care of yourself before you can fully give yourself to someone else. No I'm not saying that you have to be perfect. It's okay to be a work in progress, but if you don't know how to love yourself how can you love someone else? How can you expect them to love you?

J. Cole said it best, "love yourself girl or nobody will."

Everybody deals with their own insecurities and problems in life. Everybody sometimes gets the feeling of not being enough and not feeling appreciated when they are with someone that even when it's over they carry it into their everyday life.

Stop putting yourself on the back burner by making sure everybody else is okay and start taking care of yourself. You need to find that inner peace and learn to be happy with your own presence, so that you are able to stand alone. Jumping from relationship to relationship is not going to help you find yourself.

Take the time to figure your own self out and love every inch of you flaws and all, so that when that special somebody does come you're able to give them all of you.
